Dallas Asian Strings is a professional string duo/trio/quartet consisting of highly trained musicians.
It started with two brothers, Mark and Rick del Castillo collaborating on a recording project that was initially intended as a gift to their parents and family members for the holiday season. As accomplished electric guitarists in different bands and not having played together, they decided to join forces on acoustic nylon string guitars, creating a rich, romantic, more traditional sound in honor of the Spanish music they grew up listening to at home. The brothers invited their long-time, home-town musical friends to also play on the songs and the music soon came to life. Once the album was finalized, it was titled after their namesake, “Brothers Of The Castle” and they performed their first public concert for family and friends to celebrate the release.
They planned to perform “one night only.” However, the very positive turnout was unlike any of their other bands. From their inception, Del Castillo became something uniquely special and soon the word spread about the new band. The more the band played, the more their audience grew. They continued writing and recording music, building their repertoire, making more fans, and quickly becoming one of Austin’s most recognized bands. One of the instrumental songs from the first album, “Spanish Castle Tango” was later hand-picked by Robert Rodriguez and fueled the inspiration for, “Mexico and Mariachis.” Another track from their first album, “Dias de Los Angeles” was placed in the film and soundtrack for “Once Upon A Time In Mexico” starring Johnny Depp, Antonio Banderas, and Salma Hayek. The band has received more than 17 Austin Music Awards, among other accolades.

Her background also includes a stint as the official Anthem Singer and cheerleading captain for the Canadian Pro Football team, The Calgary Stampeders.
Dalene has previously released her all original solo album, “Linger”; as well as 2 albums with her band: Unbridled (Texas) and Metamorphosis (Nashville).
KatsüK is a conscious world folk fusion group with an infectious tribal ethereal pop atmosphere that feels like an epic cinematic soundscape and was recently nominated for 2019 BEST ROCK RECORDING, BEST WORLD RECORDING AND BEST CONCEPT FOR A MUSIC VIDEO in the Native American Music Awards (NAMMY’s). Their music evokes the euphoric but somewhat dangerous feeling of falling in love—driving very fast down dark roads with the headlights off.
Created by composer/performer Daniel Katsük and accompanied by a phenomenal group of world-beat and symphonic instrumentalists, they have recently released a new album entitled Labyrinth, a powerful sonic journey through Life’s pitfalls and triumphs. KatsüK is a fiercely prolific, dynamic and exhilarating musical experience replete with movements ranging from folk to rock to reggae to raga to funk and soul to highly charged percussive eruptions to sweet and melodious symphonic textures.
“One of the best things about this band is their live performance. They create an atmosphere that envelops the listener like a wall of sound one does not want to escape from. They are powerful performance artists who weave smoky, woodsy vocals into elemental guitar melodies, harmonies, and percussion” ~Fort Worth Texas Magazine~

His truck driving father moonlighted as a country singer, and his older brothers had bands as well. Dale remembers receiving his first guitar at age 7 and starting to write songs shortly after—“the same stuff I’m writing about now,” he says with a laugh.

Singer-songwriter Dan Whitaker’s music defies easy assumptions, moving from dark ballads to intricate country jazz instrumentals to character-driven stories set on the road and in honky tonks. Since the mid-‘80s he has created independent original music in bands such as Dan Whitaker and The Shinebenders, The Gyps, Great Plains Gypsies, and June Bug Massacre. On U.S. tours and at home Whitaker has shared the stage with artists like James Hand, Shooter Jennings, Corb Lund, The Bottle Rockets, and more.
With his latest album One More Story Told, Whitaker introduces the deep range of his songwriting evolution to newer listeners for the first time. One More Story Told is an acoustic anthology of updated songs spanning 1985 to 2015, produced by Todd Rittmann (U.S. Maple, Dead Rider) and released via Empty Highway. Dunn & Brooks is a premiere Brooks & Dunn tribute band!
Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn formed the most dynamic duo in country music history in 1989. The 90s were riddled with Brooks & Dunn hits, including Brand New Man, Boot Scootin’ Boogie, and My Maria, among countless others. The group didn’t stop there, with the 2000s welcoming new hits like Red Dirt Road, Ain’t Nothing ‘Bout You, and Play Something Country.
Derian’s music is part therapy, & part outreach. Whether it’s classic rock, country, emo, pop-punk, or broadway show tunes, Derian’s vocal & ukulele arrangements make songs seem more personal & intimate. He is constantly exploring new styles and genres and has become notorious for scrapping setlists as he steps to the mic because he learned some new songs while waiting to go on stage. “Music is my therapy… I just play what I feel.”
Derian learned to play Saxophone in the junior high band and soon began experimenting with strings and keys. It didn’t take long to realize he had a gift for learning new instruments, so he began contemplating a career in music, but the tragic death of a friend altered the path he would take to reach that goal. Derian and his best friend, “Gomez”, started a suicide hotline for their classmates (unknown to their school or parents), but the stress of that responsibility took a toll on their own mental health. Derian has suffered from severe depression and anxiety for several years, and music has played a huge role in his recovery. In August 2019, Derian’s family and friends created The Lost & Found Initiative, a mental health non-profit using music and other art forms to promote suicide awareness and help individuals and their families find the mental health resources they need.

Singer/songwriter & guitarist from Texarkana, David brings his soulful sound as singer/songwriter, writing and singing with compassion and conviction connecting with audiences on and off stage. His music finds its way around spanning the Folk, Indie, and Americana genres with soul-filled melodies and bars of truth. Being raised up in church as a kid has built the foundation for who he is today, and now balancing family, his wife, and two daughters, he continues marching down that path, developing original and authentic songs that lend a hand in telling about life in all its splendor and disarray, delivered in a way that is organically soulful and eager to be heard.
After a short journey with the TV show “The Voice”, in 2014, he chose to continue down that path of doing what he loved to do, write and perform his own music. Finding more connections and opportunities in the last few years, David is about to release his 3rd album, “Golden Junk”. A collection of personal songs, new and old, his most vulnerable album yet, set to be released in September 2021!
