11-year-old Paul was about to enter sixth grade and his mom wanted him to play in the band. (“Anything but the drums!”) The church choir director suggested he try the trumpet, so his folks found a used horn in the classifieds. He began to practice.

Paul didn’t know it then, but his trumpet would eventually take him to over 500 professional engagements in more than 40 states across America and 6 foreign countries. He’s played virtually every style, from hymns and gospel to classical, pop and jazz.
