Black Box Series: Bob Livingston at Lewisville Grand Theater

Texas music legend Bob Livingston—singer-songwriter, author, and founding member of the iconic Lost Gonzo Band—takes the stage for an unforgettable evening of songs and stories. This fall, Livingston releases his long-awaited memoir, Gypsy Alibi: A Gonzo Memoir (Texas Tech University Press), a candid and colorful journey through the untamed world of Texas progressive country. Expect plenty of tales from the road alongside the original songs that made him a cornerstone of the Texas music scene.

Known as a “cosmic cowboy” and a master storyteller, Livingston’s performances are equal parts concert and conversation—blending sharp wit, Texas lore, and music that travels effortlessly from the Hill Country to far corners of the globe. Don’t miss this chance to hear one of Texas’s most enduring troubadours in the intimate listening-room setting of The Grand’s Black Box Theater.

About the Artist:

A folk-rock raconteur, Bob Livingston is a founding member of Austin’s legendary Lost Gonzo Band that toured and recorded with many of Texas’s most iconic musicians, including Jerry Jeff Walker and Michael Martin Murphey. Known as a consummate storyteller, Livingston takes his audiences on wild and colorful rides down the rutted roads of his extensive musical history. Whether it’s a solo performance or with a band like Cowboys & Indians, Livingston is a singer-songwriter who captures his audience from the first notes played. It’s an irresistible invitation to travel down the musical roads where his rambles have taken him over the years.
